For homework this week please practice your spelling using magic e (i-e, o-e and e-e) by selecting the sound and playing the game below:

Continue to improve your mental maths by playing sumdog.
Remember you can also select bingo tasks from your homework jotter.
Our finished robots!
Robots
P3b.1 were also building robots today after writing about them on  Tuesday. Some of us worked together while a few of us decided to work independently. We were very creative and solved many design problems along the way. We think they look great!
Homework Jotters
A wee reminder if your child has not returned their homework jotter today, can you please send it in on Monday to allow us to update the spelling rules for the next few weeks?
Thank you.
Sumdog
P 3b.1 have been playing sumdog today as we have entered a sumdog competition as part of maths week.
Maths Week
P3b.1 had great fun on a maths scavenger hunt today. We worked in pairs finding examples of numeracy all over the school. Have a look at our pictures to see what we found.
Water Bottles
Poor Mr Connor is becoming increasingly exasperated at the number of water bottle spillages in the cloakroom by P3b.1 dropping their water bottles. There have also been lots of spillages in class with many children having their work spoilt or bags soaked as a result. Can we politely ask that all water bottles have a ‘sports cap’ with the caps screwed on tightly? Hopefully this will mean a lot less time wasted sourcing a mop and trying to rescue damaged work!
Thank you in anticipation.
Maths Week
P3b.1 have had a problem filled day! This morning we had great fun acting out the situation to try to solve problems in class.
This afternoon we headed to the science garden to try to complete some challenges.
1. How many triangles could we make using 9 sticks? See how many you can count in our pictures.
2. Could we make a magic square using twigs and stones to represent the numbers 1 – 9. This was really tricky!
Have a look at our photos to see how we got on.
P3b.1 Interdisciplinary learning
P3b.1 used their mathematical knowledge to make equilateral triangles from lollipop sticks. We decorated them  with colour and pattern. Because we have been learning about the synagogue, we are going to glue them together to make a Star of David which has 6 points.
