We have had the best VE day party today. We took part in a quiz to demonstrate our learning of our WWII topic.

We also bid farewell to Miss Barrett, who is going off on maternity leave to have her baby. We wish you all the best in the coming weeks and we are looking forward to baby cuddles. 👶 🍼

To celebrate the end of our learning on WWII and Miss Barrett going off on maternity leave, we are having a VE Day Street Party tomorrow.
Please bring in an extra snack if you would like and you’re welcome to wear an accessory in the British flag colours. 🇬🇧

This weekend I went to an antique fair and I bought this helmet.
It is a British helmet from the Korean War. 😊
We were very lucky to be invited to Calderwood Lodge Primary School to learn more about the Holocaust. We met some wonderful people with real life stories of the Kinder Transport and Auschwitz.
It was a very harrowing experience.
This afternoon we used I pads to research about the battle of Dunkirk as part of our learning on WWII. We used this information to make a cartoon strip of the events that took place at that time.
Primary 7 are kicking off by working in groups to research famous mathematicians and explore the impact they have had on the world!

We started to create our own world war II children ready for evacuation.
Primary 7 are learning about leaders from World War II. We used our I.C.T. time to research the leaders from all the different countries at that time.
