Today in class we did a tin foil boat challenge in our buoyancy topic to see which boat can carry the most number of marbles. We were given 1 metre of tin foil to create our boats.
The winning boat held 240 marbles altogether!
P7 have been busy this week coming up with enterprising ideas to have a mini P7 Christmas Fayre for parents and carers. Today we pitched our ideas to our teachers and they chose 10 of the best ideas. We are looking forward to hosting this on Friday 29th November during the open classrooms.

Personalisation and Choice
Over the next two weeks we are undertaking a World War II project. Have a look through the grid and choose tasks to add up to 30 points. Try to choose ones from different curricular areas.
Homework is over two weeks. Please hand in on Friday 15th November.
Enjoy working through your WWII grid!
We did a science investigation today to make a piece of tin foil sink. There were lots of different shapes and sizes but we found that the one that sank to the bottom immediately was the one which was the most dense with little air between layers.
We had a wonderful drama workshop by Vision Perform. We learnt about frieze frames and mime! We are looking forward to sharing our learning with the rest of the school.
Some children had the opportunity to do their work in our class air raid shelter. We realised that we need to take a torch in next time as it was far too dark due to the blackout.
We enjoyed making chocolate apples today.
Today we went to Summerlee Museum to continue our learning about World War II.
