Monday

After break we had Mrs Nasar for heart stone and we learned about someone called  Steven Lawrence and what happened to him.

 

Tuesday 

We had Mrs Hutchison first thing in the morning and we did music. We learned how to read music.We also did drama and learned how to mime.

We had Mrs Allan for numeracy.

 

Wednesday

On Wednesday we did P.E and we did gymnastics. We learned shoulder stands,headstands,handstands,bridges, jumping and balancing. Leo was our photographer.  We’re really improving our balancing and jumping skills.                       

              

 

Thursday

We had MUGA athletics in P.E.We also had outdoor learning and we had to search for stick people, based on an image called “Nature Dancing”

Friday

 

We did numeracy in the morning .  some of use created cuboids with certain volumes using the centimetre cubes.

After break we did ethical trading is about unfair jobs and how to try to be more sustainable. And we did flexible Friday – here are the stick people recreating the photograph. We are going to use this as the base to write a coding algorithm for a dance.

10th January 

 

Monday

 

We did heart stone odyssey with Mrs Nasar and we learnt about designing Indian dancing clothes and read some of the heartstone book. We learned about pie charts in maths.

 

Tuesday

 

Today we were doing art music and drama with Mrs Hutchinson. We were learning about mimes and SPECS which stands for slow precise exaggerated clear simple.

We watched a video about a mime and mimed out scenes. Some of us even did a ukulele club with Mrs Hutchison.

 

Wednesday

 

On Wednesday we did PE and we learned gymnastics. We had 4 stations: 1 for handstands,1 for headstands,1 for shoulder stands,1 for bridges and 1 for doing bunny hops over the benches.

Thursday

 

On Thursday we did writing about dialogues and learning about speech. We learnt Spanish,about the culture so we watched the Encanto in English then in Spanish then in Spanish in subtitles.In maths we learnt about computer algorithms outside by pretending one of us as the computer by hopscotch and programing to go to number 10.  then we added a bigger area in the playground and added angles to.

 

Friday

We did mental maths with Mrs Norman. We learnt about humanism and what it is about,also we did some Flexible Friday. Some of the options were to self access your work and make a calendar out of our Aurora Borealis pastel pictures.
