The School Photographer will be in school on Monday 14 September to take individual pupil photographs for S1, S3, S5 & S6 year groups.
Please note that there will be no obligation to purchase a photograph. Ordering information (on-line or by post) will be included in the proofs pack issued by Gillman & Soame.
Any S5 or S6 student who is interested in applying to university in 2021 should join the UCAS Entry 2021 Microsoft Team using the joining code jwck5mx.

University of the West of Scotland are offering two Webinar Sessions for S5 & S6 Students on Wednesday 10th June 2pm – Personal Statements and Wednesday 24th June 2pm – enhancing Employability.
Aberdeen University Medicine Open Day will be a virtual event and will take place online on Saturday 13th June, 11:00am – 2:00pm. Registration is now open to all prospective students at this link. Further details about Open Days for all subjects will also be available in due course at abdn.ac.uk/openday.
The Medical Schools Council has also produced information for prospective Medicine applicants. For students who may be concerned about sourcing relevant experience or shadowing, they have produced this informative document. They are also hosting Medical Schools Admissions Webinars for teachers and careers advisers supporting widening participation applicants to Medicine. Full details are on the PDF attached; the first of these webinars will take place on Monday 8th June at 11am.
A series of informative videos about choosing a course and university, writing your personal statement, and funding information are available here. We hope these videos are helpful to your pupils as they research universities this summer and would appreciate if the link to these can be sent out to your networks. These videos can be viewed at any time and students can ask questions relating to any these talks at our June and July Unibuddy Live sessions, which are scheduled on our Virtual Events page here. We will also be attending the UK University Search Virtual Fair on Wednesday 17th June, and staff will be available throughout the day to answer questions from prospective students. Details about this event and how to register for students/teachers can be found here.

Since the UK Government’s announcement, the Office for Students (OfS) have shared further guidance and FAQs with universities and colleges in England to explain exactly what is covered in the two-week pause. In addition, the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) has written to vice-chancellors at Welsh universities and colleges, requesting that they also undertake a two-week pause on unconditional offers.
