First year took part in the World Book Day today at MCHS
All the pupils (and staff) dressed up as a character from a book and took part in a Literacy Quiz in the theatre.
A great BIG well done to the English department and our Librarian Ms McEachern who organised the day.

Famous author Darren Shan visited Mearns Castle this afternoon. Darren who is the author of ‘The Saga of Darren Shan’ series of horror books, very popular amongst our pupils, read extracts from his books to a spellbound audience and signed books for pupils from all over East Renfrewshire.
