VACANCY – Hairdressing Apprentice

The Cutting Room Hair Salon in Newton Mearns are looking to recruit a full time Hairdressing Apprentice to assist their experienced stylist in all aspects of the work that they do which can include:  colouring, cutting or styling hair.  In most cases they will be assisting but for more experienced apprentices or those that show promise the stylist will allow them to administer treatment under their supervision.

Vacancy – Apprentice Joiner

A local construction company currently has a vacancy for a motivated apprentice joiner to be part of their team. This role offers the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills and develop professionally.

The candidate must be willing to learn and have the ambition to progress as a skilled joiner. You’ll learn the job both onsite and by attending a locally approved college on a day release basis – you’ll be employed, earning and learning throughout the apprenticeship.

Modern Apprentice Post – Housing

Based within Housing Services and the Business Support service, you will work within an office environment, gaining valuable experience whilst working towards a recognised qualification (SVQ Level 3).

Applicants should have a genuine interest in administration work. An interest in understanding how a Council works would be an advantage although not essential.

Applicants should be between age of 16 and 19 years.
