The 2020 Scottish Space School @ Strathclyde residential summer school will be held at the University of Strathclyde from 15-19 June 2020 and applications are now being invited via the online application system.
Now in its 17th year at the University, the Scottish Space School continues to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists and is aimed at S5 pupils in Scotland currently studying Maths and Science subjects at Higher level.
S1 pupils had a fantastic time at the recent IDL Crime Scene Investigation Event. They learned about forensic science through practical experience of carrying out tests and experiments. They worked as a team and used their problem solving skills to determine the key suspect in a crime.
The finale of the event was putting the suspect on trial – pupils were excellent and very enthusiastic during this role play. All the staff involved were very impressed with the skills and talents of our S1 Pupils. Well done S1!
Yesterday we hosted our first ever Mearns Castle Bake Off for new S2/3 pupils. The standard was unbelievable and well done to all those involved. You done great.
A successful season over for the u14s winning the Europa League and making the St Mirren Cup semi final. The boys were delighted to receive their medals.
