On 24th September we had our annual Fun Run for S1 and S6 pupils. Although the rain started, it did not dampen enthusiasm and all of the pupils who took part had a fantastic afternoon. Both S1 and S6 pupils put a lot of effort into their fancy dress outfits (and a number of staff also dressed up!).
The following S1 pupils won prizes and House points for the most original costumes: Charlotte Bradley, Ryan Bruce, Sophie Pitcairn, Sarah Langley, Robin Cartwright, Justin Coulthard, Ben Hall, Holly Killin, Robbie McGregor, Sean McNair, Faith O’Donnell and Gemma Nisbet.
Thank you to all of the staff who helped to organise the event and also to our local Asda for providing the pupils with water for their run.
Well done to all pupils who took part in this year’s “Walk to School Week”. Half of the school population took part in “Walk to School Week” which is brilliant and I hope this will encourage more pupils to regularly walk to and from school.
The number of points gained this year for each house group is:
Caledonia 1180 points
Wallace 1170 points
Sutherland 930 points
Ramsay 930 points
Gleneagles 920 points
Balmoral 840 points
The winner of the “Walk to School Week” design challenge is Yvette Barker from 2.4. Yvette earned an extra 30 points for Balmoral House group. Click here to see the winning design
Lastly, a big thank you to all the parents and carers who helped support this initiative by encouraging pupils to walk to and from school.
