At Giffnock we actively encourage pupils to play a key role in the decisions that affect their life and work in the school. We place great importance on our children’s growing independence and ability to lead their own learning. We also know that Skills for Learning, Life and Work are critical; the skills, for example, of Leadership, Organisation and Management are just as important of those in specific curricular areas. Our Pupil Groups are an integral aspect of this. From our Pupil Council to Eco-Committee, and our Rights Respecting Committee to our Junior Road Safety Officers, our children contribute a wealth of ideas and direction to our collective learning.
