We hope that you have had a wonderful summer and are very excited to welcome all of our children into school on Wednesday 14th August.
As arranged, our P2-7 children will start school at the usual time of 8.55am, with our P1 children beginning at 9.15am for the first day only.
Our nursery children’s start time will of course depend on their previously agreed times.
All of the staff team have been busy getting school ready for tomorrow. We are all very excited to welcome all of our children and Giffnock Family back in the morning. For all of our Primary 1 children, we look forward to welcoming you at 9.15am as planned.

At this time, we want to strike the right balance in promoting a love for reading whilst not placing extra pressures on our families. So we will not be dressing up this year but will still be enjoying a range of different activities across the school, both in school and remotely, and we hope that the information below supports your child’s learning:
Supporting Children in Challenging Times
The Educational Psychology Service is delivering three online one-hour parents’ sessions in March (see attachment for details). The aim of these will be to explore how Covid has affected how children and young people think, feel and behave, and to discuss ways in which parents can support their child through the current challenges.
The sessions will refer to our Healthier minds website and resources (https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/er/healthierminds) and will involve input from partners across East Renfrewshire who support children and young people’s mental wellbeing.
