Chinese New Year

The Year of the Pig.

Mrs Skinner was in class yesterday and told us all about Chinese New Year. She told us about all the traditions that the Chinese  people follow at this special time.

We found out what Chinese year we were born in and looked at some Chinese items. We learned that it was good luck to receive a red envelope with coins in. Ewan was a little disappointed that his was empty!

Scottish Alphabet Story

The Snowdrops have all been successful learners taking part in many new experiences about the Scottish alphabet.  Now our Scottish theme is coming to an end and it’s time for us to think if we have liked or disliked our Scottish activities.  The Snowdrops were confident individuals using eye-pointing and picture prompts to show their likes, dislikes or preferred type of activities.
