During the month of February, Willowbank School is celebrating LGBT month. We had spotted the rainbow flag flying outside the school during our local area walk last week. Today we decided to centre our science activities around rainbows.

We used a torch and shone it through a glass of water and looked for rainbow colours. We looked closely at CDs and looked for rainbow colours reflecting in the light. We blew bubbles and looked for rainbow colours as we popped them.

Finally, we used skittles and poured hot water on them and watched for rainbow colours forming. We were very happy with the results!
