This term the Oak class have been completing interdisciplinary learning through our Great Outdoors theme work.
We have enjoyed learning through the story, ‘A Camping Spree with Mr Magee’. Everyone participated actively in all the activities, the Oak class enjoy learning outdoors and being active.
Here are some of the highlights of our theme work;
Confident Individuals during literacy tasks. We made binoculars and played ‘I Spy’. We also enjoyed taking photos of the things we enjoy using in the playground. We had to share with our peers our favourite item, we worked hard on using speech and Makaton.
We loved building a tent and making a den, we were effective contributors, working together and having fun climbing inside.
Successful learners during numeracy, we used google maps to work out the distance of our house to school. Also worked out who has the longest and shortest journey to school.
We worked on our directional awareness through the bee bots and fun activities on chairs.
