We have been looking at the street artist Banksy’s art, this inspired us to design our own tag names, take to the playground and create our own graffiti art.

Chinese New Year will begin on Saturday 25th January.
All P4 rotation groups have been learning about how Chinese New Year began and how it is celebrated. We also compared it to a traditional Scottish New Year using Venn diagrams.
Learners also made dancing dragons, tried writing using Chinese characters, attempted tangram puzzles and had fun using chopsticks.
We have all been busy paper sculpting, changing a flat surface into a dynamic 3D sculpture. We are hoping to display some of our creations in the school in the near future. Enjoy, we did.
All of the Primary 4 pupils have had the opportunity to become sculptures during their art rotation time. We looked at works from the artist Alberto Giacometti and made figures in the same style. Who knew how tricky tin foil would be to sculpt!! Here are some pictures of us hard at work and the end result.
P4 have been discussing what a New Year’s Resolution is and setting realistic goals for ourselves.
We shared examples during Health and Wellbeing time. Some ideas were to ‘pass a smile each day’, to spend more time outdoors, to try and make a difference towards achieving the Global Goals and to get up earlier each day.
The ‘Rocks’ made ‘Wish Wands’ today. We hope to achieve our goals!!
Everyday throughout December P4E have completed an Active Advent Challenge ranging from a virtual bike ride to a dance to learn about our muscles. We had lots of fun doing the daily challenges and are proud to have completed the IMoves Active Advent.
Well done to all the pupils who achieved this.

In P4W we encourage kindness, respect and giving compliments to others. We know that we can help someone to feel special by saying something nice about them.
We created a ‘Christmas Kindness Paper Chain’. We all wrote our name on a slip of paper and we decorated it with Christmas images. We then handed them in and Mrs Williams gave us a slip belonging to someone else in the class. We wrote a compliment about that person on the other side of the slip.
We loved hearing all of the nice comments. We looped them together to make a very long chain to hang in our class.
P4 had an amazing afternoon at their Christmas party! We played games, showed off our dance moves and enjoyed a party snack too.
We hope that you all have a fantastic Christmas and a super New Year!;-)
P4 E have been busy little elves making some beautiful Christmas tree decorations.
All these and more will be available for £2 each.
We hope to see you tomorrow.
