The p4 teachers are missing you all so much! We are loving seeing your work on the blog or hearing how you are getting on through emails.
If you haven’t said “Hi” yet it would be great to hear from you!;-)
We are working hard at home creating fun ideas for you to try at home. Remember to have lots of fun with your family too. There are so many skills to learn from being at home and around your local area.
Mrs Findlay has set us a task which will help us on our journey to achieving our Rights Respecting School Award. It would be amazing if P4 gave it a go and shared our thoughts on our blogs or by email to your teacher.
Please follow the link below where you will find all of the information as well as a lesson to try. You will be asked to get talking to family members about the environmental changes they have noticed in their communities.
Many of you have been logging onto your Bug Club accounts and enjoying some of the books allocated.
Your teacher is logging on regularly and checking how you are getting on.
When you type and answer we are able to see what you have written and we will give you feedback in that box.
You will find our comments when you go into your ‘Library’. At the top right hand corner of the book read you will see a little green envelope symbol. Click on that and you can read it.
We are aware that if you type anything in that box that you can move onto the next page. Please do try to show us your understanding of the question through your fab answers!;-)
P4 have been discussing what a New Year’s Resolution is and setting realistic goals for ourselves.
We shared examples during Health and Wellbeing time. Some ideas were to ‘pass a smile each day’, to spend more time outdoors, to try and make a difference towards achieving the Global Goals and to get up earlier each day.
The ‘Rocks’ made ‘Wish Wands’ today. We hope to achieve our goals!!
In P4W we encourage kindness, respect and giving compliments to others. We know that we can help someone to feel special by saying something nice about them.
We created a ‘Christmas Kindness Paper Chain’. We all wrote our name on a slip of paper and we decorated it with Christmas images. We then handed them in and Mrs Williams gave us a slip belonging to someone else in the class. We wrote a compliment about that person on the other side of the slip.
We loved hearing all of the nice comments. We looped them together to make a very long chain to hang in our class.
This Anti-Bullying Week (11th-15th November) the theme is ‘Change Starts With Us All’. Each of us has the power to create small change.
During Health and Wellbeing time P4 have been exploring issues related to bullying. We are aware that there are different types of bullying and there are ways in which we can make things better. We should never be a bystander. It is best to share concerns and seek help.
We were given a scenario and we worked in small groups to create a roleplay to show the problem and then show how we could sort it.
We explored themes of physical bullying, cyber bullying, emotional bullying, racial and verbal bullying.
P4W enjoyed using their knowledge and understanding of rounding numbers in a variety of games and challenges. One of the games tested our knowledge of doubles and near doubles.
We worked in groups or pairs and we had lots of fun!
