We hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather we have been having recently! As it is continue into this week, we will be taking PE lessons outdoors. Therefore, we ask that children come to school with a sun hat. Please let us know if you are unable to source a hat for your child and we can help you.
Can we please also ask that suncream is applied before children come to school, and if possible, they should have some in their school bag (with their name on it) that they can apply themselves if needed during the day.
Our eco group were asked along to help plant trees to restore the banks of the River Nith. It was a beautiful day for our outing, however the soil was very hard because it hasn’t rained for so long! We planted willow trees along the river bank as part of SEPA’s flood defence work and restoring the river for the wildlife.
To celebrate World Bike Day we are encouraging everyone to be as safe as they can while out on their bikes.
Come along after school on Thursday 1st June between 3pm and 4.30pm where Stewart Welsh (Dr. Bike) will be in the playground and available to give your bike a health check!
Please note ‘Friday Fun’, ‘After School Activity Club’ and ‘Moving On Up’ take place at the Yipworld Campus In Cumnock. ‘Youthie’ will be held in the New Cumnock Scout Hut.
