Tomorrow, we will be hosting a whole school FAB Friday Get Together, where we will be recognising the wider achievements of our pupils outside of school.
We want to hear about your child’s successes! Please bring in your certificates, medals or stories about your achievement.
Thank you so much to everyone who came along to support our Christmas Fair! It was great to see the school so busy and have such a buzz about the place!
We are delighted to share that the Fair raised an incredible amount of: £1444.08!!! Thank you so much everyone!!!
Our Secret Square competition went towards raising funds for our P7 residential trip next year, and the winner number was…
As you are all aware, we began our RespectMe journey during Anti-Bullying Week. We would appreciate your time in filling out our questionnaire as this will give us an indication of opinions and perceptions of what bullying is and the implications it may have. This will give us a starting point in our journey and will allow us to measure change.
We were delighted to welcome our families back into school this week to visit their child’s classroom at Parent’s Evening.
We hope hope you enjoyed the opportunity to see your child’s work and meet their teacher.
A huge thank you to our outside agencies such as Childsmile, Active Schools, EA Young Carers and our Parent Council for showing their support by also coming along to meet our families and discuss their roles in supporting our children.
With our upcoming Christmas Fair on Saturday 26th November, we are on the look out for the following donations…
Good quality second hand toys for our toy stall.
Donations for a bottle stall. (This can be anything from a bottle of tomato sauce or bubble bath to a bottle of wine or a spirit.)
Donations of shortbread or mince pies.
Donations of raffle prizes.
We will be taking donations from Monday 14th November. These can be given to your child’s class teacher or handed in at the main office. (Please note that alcohol donations should not be sent in with children and should be handed in at the main office by parents/carers.)
Over the past several weeks we have been delighted to welcome our families back into school to visit our classrooms and have our pupils discuss their learning in Literacy and Numeracy with you.
We have been overwhelmed at how many of our families have been able to join us and we hope that you enjoyed yourselves as much as we did!
Please keep an eye out for Parent Literacy and Numeracy packs which will be sent home with ‘oldest and only’ children, ensuring you have 1 per family. You will find useful information about our delivery of these subjects, some of the terminology explained and some examples of activities you can try at home with your child.
We are looking forward to many more opportunities to welcome you into school over this session. Don’t forget to check out our Parental Involvement calendar to note down the many opportunities we have to welcome you in to school this year.
Why not visit the Town Hall that evening at 5pm to enjoy the Community Pantomime too and make a right old Christmassy day of it?!
Our stalls are available to hire for small businesses for £10 a table.
If you have a product or crafts you would like to sell at our fair, please contact the school by phoning 01290 338404 or email Mrs McNulty to book your table. danielle.mcnulty@eastayrshire.org.uk
