As part of our continued School Improvement, we are focusing on school attendance – the benefits of good attendance for our learners, the barriers they may face and how we can work together to support our families and improve this.
In order to do this, we are seeking the involvement of our parents/carers. If you would be keen to be part of this Focus Group to explore, improve and promote this area of school improvement, please complete the Form below and Mrs McNulty will be in touch with you soon to arrange a meeting.
Today we had our closing Christmas Service at the Parish Church. Well done to our P7s for their wonderful readings and congratulations to Johan for winning the church Christmas card design competition!
We wish all our families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year when it comes.
We look forward to seeing you all again on Monday 6th January 2025.
We have enjoyed hosting our class Christmas parties this week. We danced, played party games and enjoyed some snacks.
We wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Sheryl and Heather at the Working Men’s Club for donating the beautiful balloon arch used for our class photos. We are extremely grateful to them both for allowing us to borrow it!
To celebrate the end of term almost here, on Friday, we will be hosting a whole school FAB Friday Get Together, where we will be recognising the Wider Achievements of our pupils .
We want to hear about your child’s successes! Please bring in your certificates, medals or stories about your achievements from this Term.
To help with the programming of the morning, please complete the form below by Thursday evening to let us know what your child wishes to celebrate. We will use the names gathered on the Form to create the running order.
At both performances, our Parent Council will be selling class crafts which we have left over from our Christmas Fayre. Bring some pennies along with you, you are guaranteed to see something you will like!
We were so excited for our whole school Pantomime trip to Gaiety Theatre in Ayr to see Mother Goose. We loved the production and the treat of ice cream during the interval! A huge thank you to all our Parent Helpers who attended with us.
We are so grateful to the New Cumnock Development Trust for their kind donation which helped to subsidise the cost of this trip for our families.
We are so excited for our whole school Pantomime Trip to the Gaiety Theatre in Ayr tomorrow to see Mother Goose!
We are very grateful to the New Cumnock Development Trust for their kind donation of £3000 towards the cost of this trip from a recent funding application from our Parent Council! This helped to subsidise a great deal of the cost of this trip, alleviating the financial pressure of our families at this time of year.
Today we promoted, ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’ with a dress down day wearing bright colours.
We want to encourage all pupils to wear something bright on their journeys to school. Bright, fluorescent and especially reflective clothing is so important when the days become darker.
A huge thank you for all your chocolate donations in aid of this Dress Down Day. These will go towards creating tasty hampers which will be raffled off at our Christmas Fayre next weekend!
