NCPS Parent Council

Summer Fayre 7/6/25

Our annual Summer Fayre will be held on Saturday 7th June from 12-2pm. Please see below for more information.

We are hopeful that this lovely weather continues so we can host it in the playground!

We need your help

If you are able to support us at a stall at the Summer Fayre, please contact a member of the Parent Council or contact the school to note your interest and someone from the Parent Council will be in touch.

Dress Down Day

The Parent Council will be hosting a ‘Shorts and Shades’ Dress Down Day next Friday 23rd May. Children can come to school in their play clothes and sunglasses for the day.

There will not be monetary cost to this, we ask instead for your child to bring along a chocolate donation, which the Parent Council will then use to make up hampers for the upcoming Summer Fayre.

Did you know?

The Parent Council plays such a vital role in our school, with many events and opportunities for our young people made possible through Parent Council funding and effort.

This includes:

  • School Discos
  • Tuck shops at our school shows
  • Swimming lessons for the whole school gained through a successful Small Wind Farm application
  • Contribution towards our P7 Residential trip through a successful NCDT funding application
  • Whole school Christmas pantomime trip through a successful NCDT funding application
  • Christmas and Summer Fayres for the whole community

If you would like to be a part of this positive contribution to our school and to the lives of our young people, please join us!!!

Next meeting

The next Parent Council meeting will be held on Tuesday 27th May at 6pm. We look forward to seeing you there.

Sports Day 2025

Our Sports Day was held today at the Glens Park. We were very grateful of the lovely weather we had!

Each of our House teams led a victory march around the pitch to kick start our Sports Day celebrations.

A huge thank you to our parents and carers who came along to cheer on and support our children as they competed in their class flat races and novelty races as well as our upper house relays.

The Sports Day points will be added to the shields and our overall winning House will be announced at our annual Prize Giving on Wednesday 18th June.

A huge thank you to the Glens Park for hosting our Sports Day and allowing us to use your facilities!

Sun Safety

At Get Together this morning we discussed sun safety. ☀️
With this lovely weather we have been having, it is important our young people remember to:
Slip 👕
Slop 🧴
Slap 🧢
Slide 🕶️
Shade ☂️

Please ensure your child comes to school with a sun hat/sunglasses and sun cream applied in the morning. It would also be useful if they had a bottle of sun cream (with their name on) in their school bags so they can apply it to themselves later in the day.

Afterschool Clubs Term 4

Please see information in the Form below about additional Afterschool Clubs running this term.

(Please note that Football, Mary Poppins JR and Extra-Time Club will also run and families of children involved in these groups are aware.)

Spaces are limited so register your child quickly. You will be contacted via email to confirm your child has been allocated a space.
