A reminder that our garden tidy up will take place on 16th June between 3pm-5pm .  We would be very grateful for any time you can spare at all to help us. We would also be grateful of any donations of any of the following items:

Plants/seeds

Soil

Hanging baskets

Garden Paint

Masonry paint

Bark

Planters

If you are able to come and help on the day if you could bring your own gardening equipment with you please.

Our Primary 7 pupils have been very busy making items to sell in order to raise additional funds for their Activity Week. These items include Tic tac toe, spinning tops, car/butterfly keyrings and personalised keyrings and can be purchased through Parentpay.

The children have been busy with lots of fun activities this week on the run up to the Jubilee. We are delighted to share with you this picture of Christopher from P5 who made this amazing Jubilee sponge cake!

UNIFORM EXCHANGE

Unfortunately, due to the weather forecast for tomorrow, we have decided NOT to put our Uniform Exchange items outside the main entrance as previously planned.  However, we would like to remind parents/carers that the Uniform Exchange  is located in the foyer of the school and free to anyone who wishes to make use of it at any time during school hours. We have a selection of nearly new items of school uniform in a range of sizes, (including some shoes).

We were delighted today to have our brass pupils back in for the first post Covid group tuition with Mr McKreel. It was lovely to hear the sound of the instruments in the school again after such a long time. Everyone was happy to be back!

As you may already know the council is planning to bid for funding from the Scottish Government Learning Estate Investment Programme to potentially create a new “learning campus” in the Onthank area. The Head of Education has been working closely with Headteachers and Heads of Centre to ensure full involvement in the preparatory and council processes leading towards a full public consultation.

To ensure that we have a full range of views and ideas across schools, a virtual meeting has been planned to which you are warmly invited. This virtual meeting will take place on Wednesday 25th May 2022 at 5.30-7pm.

This virtual meeting will cover the statutory aspect of the consultation namely introducing ECC facilities to Mount Carmel.
