Catholic Education Week

The Friends of Jesus Community Group would like to thank the classes for taking part in our special prayer service during Catholic Education Week.

We encouraged everyone to think about the meaning of hope and placed our own special hopes into our ‘bags of hope’ displayed near the altar in each class.

Well done to all our Friends of Jesus group for so confidently  leading the prayers in your class.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

Primary 7 – Pope Francis Faith Award Parish Commendation

As part of their Pope Francis Faith Award P7 can put themselves forward for a Parish Commendation from their Parish Priest. I gave out the form for this yesterday. Pupils seeking the Parish Commendation should now have an opportunity to “check‐in” with
the parish priest to agree what they have done in the parish so far. When PP is satisfied that the pupil has met the criterion for the Parish Commendation, he should sign the Parish Commendation sheet.

Please return the form to me by Friday 28th November as it has to be scanned and emailed to SCES to be verified.

Thank you,

Christmas Choir

The Christmas choir have been working incredibly hard during rehearsals and can’t wait for their first performance at the Christmas Fayre next Friday.

To help the children practice at home I have put the links to the backing tracks on YouTube below. These are the same versions of the ones we use at rehearsals. We want to sing without needing song sheets for our performances so this should help build confidence.
