Here is a Space pack for P4-6 children  interested in learning more about the planets in our solar system.
constellations worksheet and cards
Here is a learning pack for Primary 1-3 pupils all about the moon! It’s an English-based resource so Year 1 means Primary 2 and Year 2 means Primary 3.
notes and guidance for teachers and parents
The school recently purchased Clicker 7 – thanks very much to our very generous Parent Council.
We only just received the software before the school closed, therefore didn’t have much of an opportunity to get to know it very well.
“Clicker is the complete writing solution for the primary classroom, providing every pupil with just the right level of support and challenge.” (Quote from the Clicker website).
It is installed on all of our desktop computers and will be available for use on return to school.
However we have managed to gain a month’s free access for staff and pupils at home. This allows access to Clicker 8 (we have Clicker 7 in school) to let the children have a ‘play about’ with the software to see all of the fabulous writing tools that it has.
Please follow the link below for installation:

If you are interested in downloading and using Clicker, please email Mrs Cross for the unique installation code. We are not allowed to share this on Glow as it is a public platform.

Here are two lovely resources for use with children from ages 5-7.
You need to have a copy of Julia Donaldson’s ‘Stick Man’ and ‘Tabby McTat’ to complete the activities.

Read over the article as a family and complete the activities that follow. Enjoy!
We would love to hear your views about the new EAC Reporting format (the new way we completed the report cards this session – the ones issued just before Easter).
Please complete the survey below by clicking the link and let us know your views. Thank you.
Mauchline PS – Parental Reporting (Parent Survey)
Since we are missing out on our weekly assemblies, I have attached a link to a vimeo clip created by Picture News. This week’s discussion is about space and who it belongs to.
Monday 11th May
Good morning to all of the children, parents and carers of Mauchline PS & ECC. We hope you are all staying safe and managing to have some time to relax as well as continuing to learn wherever and however you can.
Here is a poster to remind you of the best way to keep your hands germ-free.
Remember to check the blog page for your child’s class – they contain fabulous ideas and activities to keep the children learning at home.
All classes now have a ‘Teams’ page that allow the children to post comments and completed work within a safe and secure environment. See the previous blog posts about Glow and Teams to get you logged in.
