Digital Schools Award

Mrs Cross, Miss Gill and the Digital Committee are delighted to announce the achievement of our Digital Schools Award. We had our validation meeting this morning which confirmed our hard work and effort had all been worth it!

We will continue to strive towards new goals within Digital Learning and we are all excited about what lies ahead for the coming sessions.

Reading Schools Award

Mauchline PS & ECC are delighted to announce our core-level achievement in becoming a Reading School.
The Reading Schools programme, developed by Scottish Book Trust, is an accreditation programme for schools that are committed to building a reading culture for their learners and communities. The programme supports schools to build a reading culture, where every pupil is encouraged to feed their imagination through books.
As a school, we have worked tirelessly all session to achieve our award through the hard work of Mrs Cross’s Reading Committee (part of the Inclusive Friendly Schools Committee), with the help and support of all of our children and staff. Reading for pleasure is central to supporting wellbeing, improving attainment across the curriculum, and boosting critical thinking, creativity, empathy and resilience and we have always aimed to have books and reading for enjoyment as a key element within Mauchline PS & ECC.
We are looking forward to adding all of our new books into the school library and continuing on with our aim of embedding a love of reading within our school.
