Book Week Scotland

15th – 21st November 2021

Book Week Scotland is an annual celebration of books and reading across Scotland.

Bookbug (Primary 1)  Bookbug comes to Auchinleck library | Cumnock Chronicle

During this week Primary 1 children will be gifted with Bookbug bags from the Scottish Book Trust. The bags contain books and other resources for sharing songs and rhymes that are suited to the age of the children.

You can help your child get the most out of their P1 Bag by looking at and talking about the books together, using the whiteboard to play games, filling in the activity book and voting for your child’s favourite book.

On the Scottish Book Trust website you can find films of the books being read, more recommended books for P1s and enter your child’s vote in The Bookbug Picture Book Prize.
