As it was so nice today we took the children outdoors for street dance! It seems to be ever-expanding with 18 taking part today! The children practised hard and were showing off their skills, have a look at their awesome moves! Thank you as always to Jenny and Envy Street Dance for this opportunity.

As we are now beginning to have a reward for the winning house each term, we worked out who had attained the most points in the past 3 terms. Luckily, it worked out that all 3 houses – St. Andrews, St. Ninians and St. Columbus – had won a term each!! Today, as a school, we attended Mass for the Holy Day of Obligation – the Ascension of Jesus. The children have learned about this event this week and joined the parish today to celebrate in Mass. Jo came back on Thursday to talk to the children about animals that are native to Scotland, in particular, the red squirrels. Jo put on a wonderful presentation that the children all enjoyed. On Monday, Kelly Whorlow from Apex came to the school to talk to the children about food banks, what they do and why they are important. We learned why food banks are needed, what type of products they supply and how important it is to donate when we can to help others in need.
