This Tuesday afternoon, both P5-7 and P1-4 enjoyed their outdoor golf sessions with Stuart Fisher. The crisp, sunny weather created the perfect setting for learning and practising new golfing skills. P5-7 engaged in a drive challenge, showcasing their competitive side as they worked on their technique to see who could hit the ball the farthest. The pupils were focused and determined, and the challenge brought plenty of excitement and encouragement

For Scottish Careers Week 2024, pupils had an exciting day of career exploration at Stranraer Community College! The day kicked off with a fun Would You Rather game, where pupils worked in teams to brainstorm different careers based on quirky props. 
They then explored a range of job options on My World of Work, discovering everything from technical trades to creative fields, helping them get a better idea of what might suit their skills
This year’s Children in Need at St Joseph’s was a heart-warming and fun-filled day, full of exciting activities and incredible generosity. The whole school came together in their comfiest pyjamas for our Pyjama Day, bringing in donations to support this important cause. It was wonderful to see everyone dressed so cosily and eager to help!

This week we held our very first choir practice, and it was a fantastic way to kick off the season. We had a brilliant turnout, with children from across the primaries coming together to sing some much-loved Christmas carols.

In P5-7 with Miss Scott, everyone had an awesome time learning about recycled fashion! They explored how everyday materials are used in clothes and how we can give them a second life. Using things like bubble wrap, black bin bags, and carrier bags, the whole class got very creative! Our Primary 1-4 pupils had their third rugby session this Wednesday afternoon, and it’s safe to say they’re absolutely loving it! The excitement was contagious as they practised their rugby skills with boundless enthusiasm and energy. Each session has seen them grow in confidence and coordination, and this week was no different. This time, the group stayed on the concrete, so there was no muddy clothing to worry about!
