Our Partnership Primary 6 pupils attended Operation Safety at Stair Park on Tuesday as part of an education and awareness service operated by our emergency services. This is in conjunction with the Cycling Festival which is taking place on the 22nd June in Agnew Park. The whole school enjoyed some Tri-golf for P.E. today with Mr Fisher who will continue to work with the children for the next 4 weeks. P1-4 had their lesson first, followed by P5-7. P.7 spent Friday at Stranraer Academy accompanied by Miss Lisi. They were joined by children and staff from Portpatrick, Leswalt and Kirkcolm. St. Joseph’s and Portpatrick spent the day together. Pupils from Portpatrick and St. Joseph’s primaries joined together to enjoy a day of outdoor learning at Logan Botanical Gardens. The children headed off in the sunshine for two workshops. We are proud to introduce our new Eco Code and Eco Mascots for St. Joseph’s, as designed by our pupils. The Keep Scotland Beautiful Eco Schools Award requires each school to create their own unique mascot and codes to represent our action plan for the award. As it was so nice today we took the children outdoors for street dance! It seems to be ever-expanding with 18 taking part today!
