Art Attack Club – Off to a Creative Start!

We are thrilled to share the exciting launch of our brand new Art Attack Club here at St. Joseph’s Primary! Our very first session took place on Monday 14th April, and we were absolutely blown away by the turnout – almost the entire school came along to get creative!

The club, led by the wonderfully talented Diana Hamilton and Donna Westbrook, provided an afternoon packed with imagination, colour, and hands-on fun.

Our Primary 1–4 pupils enjoyed exploring a new technique using carbon paper to create some brilliant drawings. It was a brand-new experience for many of them, and the results were absolutely fantastic.

Meanwhile, our Primary 5–7 pupils used a similar method to transfer their own designs and writing onto new aprons – which they then decorated with paint. These aprons will be worn proudly throughout the rest of the Art Attack sessions, and we can’t wait to see them used again in future creative adventures!

It was wonderful to see everybody getting involved, supporting one another, and really embracing the creative process. There was a real buzz in the room, and so much talent on display!

Due to the huge popularity of the club, we’re excited to announce that Art Attack will now run over two separate days, giving both age groups their own dedicated time and allowing even more focused creative fun. The sessions will be slightly shorter but packed with just as much creativity and enjoyment.

A huge thank you to Diana and Donna for giving up their time and sharing their skills – this club is clearly a hit already, and we can’t wait to see what the children create next!

Watch this space for more arty updates soon!
