Information for P3/4 Parents and Carers

P.E.

P.E. will take place on Thursdays throughout the whole year and also on Wednesdays in terms 2 and 4. Let’s Get Sporty will be on Tuesdays in terms 1 and 3. Please ensure children have appropriate P.E. kit on these days, including a change of shoes.

Homework

Spelling homework will be given out each Tuesday and should be returned on Friday. There will be an activity to complete every week, but children should also take time to learn how to spell the words (e.g. by making flash cards or doing ‘Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check’).

Reading activities will be completed in class every day so please check your child’s reading diary daily. Children may not get new pages or activities each day as reading work at home will depend on their progress in class activities.

Maths homework will be given out a few times per term. This may be in the form of written tasks or shared learning activities. Maths homework will be given out on Mondays and should be returned on Friday.

Sharing our Learning

Families will be invited to attend a shared learning workshop in term 1. Our class assembly will be performed in term 3. Dates and times will be confirmed a couple of weeks before each event.
