Welcome to P2/1M’s blog page.

Here are some helpful tips to help your child.

-Please get your child to practise fastening their shoes and jacket especially as we head towards autumnal weather.

-PE kit is needed every Monday and Friday.  In term 2 we will also have Let’s Get Sporty on a Tuesday.  PE kit should include shorts, T-shirt and gym shoes or trainers.  It is useful for those with long hair to have a bobble in on those days and for those wearing tights to bring a pair of socks for gym.

-Encourage your child to bring a water bottle to school.  Please remember it’s water only.

-Please ensure all belongings are clearly labelled.  This includes uniform, gym kit, packed lunch bags, water bottles, snack tubs and even shoes.

-Library books should be returned on a Wednesday so that your child can enjoy choosing another book to bring home.

-Remember to bring homework bag everyday and check the homework diary daily.

-Encourage your child to bring one healthy snack each day to eat at break time.  Healthy snack days are Wednesday and Friday where we earn points towards the Healthy Cup.  We won this on Friday 6th September.

-P1 will be issued with sounds every 3 weeks with 6 sounds to practise.

-P2 have reading homework to practise most nights as well as weekly spelling homework.

-Enjoy reading together for fun.
