Do Well Together, Where Everyone Matters

Primary 4B

Hi,

Welcome to P4B’s blog page. Check in here to see up to date news on our learning.

Firstly, welcome back to all the students after the holidays. I hope everyone had a wonderful break and are ready for the busy weeks ahead.

This term we have begun learning about Robert Burns, and are looking forward to celebrating Burns day with traditional Scottish dances and food. We will be learning about key landmarks in Dumfries and Galloway and are hoping to get an excursion planned soon.

In numeracy we will continue developing our skills, exploring different strategies to solve multiplication problems and fine tuning our mental maths skills using SAMSON. We will also be exploring time using analogue and digital clocks.

In literacy we will continue to develop our reading skills through small focused reading groups and our class novel “The Diary of a Brilliant Kid”. In writing we will continue to develop skills in creative, informative and persuasive writing.

As always we look forward to working together to support your child in their learning. Just a reminder that everyone should bring homework diaries, spelling jotters and reading books every day.
