Do Well Together, Where Everyone Matters

Primary 6G

10/05/19

Today saw the start of the P6 Pentathlon, with the P5’s from P5/6L also having their own mini competition.  With the sun was shining, it was a perfect opportunity for us to complete the distance running event.  Much to the pupils horror, they had to complete 8 laps of the pitch!  Everyone was absolutely fantastic and tried really hard.  Well done!

Last week we were lucky enough to have a CPR session with our Community Firefighter and her colleagues. The children thoroughly enjoyed this and they have hopefully learned some useful life skills.

Welcome to Term 3!
We have had a busy start to the Term with 16 of our learners preparing speeches for the Speech Making competition. Whilst the whole class will also prepare speeches on the same topic, 16 children from our class have put their names forward for the competition. Well done to you all for the hard work you have put into writing your speeches. I look forward to hearing them tomorrow. Those who have not entered the competition, will prepare speeches to be presented in class next week. I know that a lot of you have starting preparing, well done!
In Maths we have been finishing off our topic on 2D and 3D shape. Today, we were building various 3D shapes using K’nex. It was definitely not as easy as it looks!
Now that our Enterprise is finished, we have resumed our STEM afternoons. Today, we were looking at static electricity.
A polite reminder that PE is on a Tuesday and Friday, please ensure that your child has a PE kit on those days. Your child will write their reading homework into the Homework Diary but it is usually required on a Monday and/or Thursday. Finally, spelling homework is to be handed in on a Thursday.
Many thanks,
Mrs Galligan

Welcome to P6G’s brand new Blog page.  I look forward to sharing all our work, achievements and news over the next couple of terms.
