Pupils from Primary 7M & Primary 7N attended their own Remembrance Day service at the local War Memorial. The pupils recited two famous poems: ‘In Flanders Fields’ and ‘The Poppy’. They also read out poetry that they themselves had written about what things would have been like during the war. They took the time to look at the many names on the memorial statue and also at the plaque which commemorates one Laurieknowe’s former pupils. (Private James MacKenzie fought and died in WW1.) The pupils did a great job and should be very proud of themselves.
