Primary 6-5W visit to Dumfries and Galloway Council Headquarters

In Primary 6-5W, we have been learning all about Local Government.

We spent the afternoon of February 12th visiting the Dumfries and Galloway Council Headquarters and meeting some of the councillors who work there.

The pupils enjoyed a tour around the beautiful building which included the opportunity to have a debate in the Debate Chamber, look around the Party Conference Rooms and even sit at the desk of Elaine Murray.

We had a very enjoyable and valuable experience and the pupils represented the school perfectly.

P6-5W would like to send a huge thank you to the staff at Headquarters and to the parent helpers who made the trip such a success.
