Welcome to P5N’s page!
Reading Homework:
Each week, reading homework will be given. Below you will see which pages your child is meant to read:
Group Name: | Book Name: | Homework: | Due: |
Cats | Theft in Space | Finish Book | 17/04/2025 |
Sheepdogs | Frankie’s Magic Football | Chapters 1 & 2 | 17/04/2025 |
Pigeons | Making a Stand | Finish Book | 17/04/2025 |
Deer | New book after hols. | ||
Foxes | New book after hols. |
Reciprocal reading- take turns to read a page each, both following the book;
Reading and Talking- Pupil reads a few pages, then both discuss what has happened (i.e. about characters, setting, plot etc.)
The main focus is that pupils read the books aloud. This helps with fluency, expression and understanding the use of punctuation.
Soundtrap & Spotify
P5N are officially famous! Our fantastic work with John and Roo using Soundtrap has been published on Spotify. Click the link attached to listen to their incredible work. This is normally only done with P7 (or P6), so the pupils should be incredibly proud of what they have learned and produced. Once you have clicked the Spotify logo below, scroll down until you find our 3 podcasts: The Chatterbox Radio, Radio Fish and CACEC Radio.
We all hope you enjoy listening!

The winning square will receive a Children’s Christmas stocking.
Pupils from P4M and P5/4M will come round each class every day to sell squares.
Many thanks for your continued support
