All the boys and girls enjoyed their trip to Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow last week. They all took part in an Egyptian workshop which took them to different areas of the museum. They even got to hold artefacts that were over 3000 years old.

The boys and girls had a fantastic time at Mabie Farm Park today. They played and had lots of fun in the sunshine. Thanks to all the parent helpers who supported us today.
We started our Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations last week. Every child in school made a mosaic tile and these tiles will be put together to make the Queen’s head. All the children enjoyed making their tile. Thank you very much to Diana Hamilton for her organisation, preparation and help on Friday.

Today we said goodbye to Miss Barbour who is our P1/2 teacher. She joined Sheuchan Primary in August 2020 when she taught P7. She has recently secured a permanent post as a PE teacher in a school in Glasgow. To send Miss Barbour off in style, we held a mini sports day for her which she and the rest of the school enjoyed. We would like to wish Miss Barbour all the best for her new job and best wishes for the future.

Lots of boys and girls enjoyed their Christmas Lunch today. As a special treat, they each had chocolate sauce and marshmallows with their brownie for dessert, YUM!
Christmas has definitely arrived at Sheuchan Primary School. Here are all of the Christmas banners on display in the hall.
We are very excited to announce that Melissa Fraser (P.5) is a runner up in the 2021 Christmas Card Competition which was set by The Rt. Hon. Alister Jack MP who is our Member of Parliament for Dumfries and Galloway. It must have been a very difficult job for Alister Jack’s team to judge all the entries. All the children who entered this competition received a certificate to thank them for their participation. Melissa received her certificate and a £25 gift voucher for Amazon.
Well done to Melissa and everyone who entered.
