Most of the pupils in Kemnay Academy come from five associated Primary schools:

Alehousewells, Kemnay, Kintore, Kinellar and Midmill.

The Head Teachers and staff of the Academy and associated cluster Primary schools meet regularly to plan developments in the curriculum. We also present opportunities for the pupils in our associated Primary schools to attend and participate in events and activities here at the Academy such as our annual Careers Fair. We also plan the transition from Primary to Secondary school by ensuring the transfer of appropriate information about each pupil. There are two parent information evenings held for parents of Primary 7 pupils each session, and additional individual parent meetings are arranged when this is required. As part of their Primary 7 experience, all pupils are involved in a number of transition activities and events at their Primary school and here at Kemnay Academy. This provides an excellent opportunity for the pupils to get to know other pupils across the associated Primary schools and also to become familiar with Kemnay Academy staff, systems and processes.
