P5/6/7 Outdoor learning

This week because of the lovely weather our class went outside and  calculated fractions on the playground instead of our jotters.

We used sticks and stones to recreate a skeleton from a worksheet guide on the playground in groups of 4. We enjoyed this activity and had to work together to achieve the goal.

We exercised and took our pulse after exercising to  discuss the difference. We completed circuits, star jumps and burpees and another exercise of our choice and recorded our pulse rate after each exercise. We discovered our pulse rate increased as we exercised.

The P7s visited to the Risk Factory on Tuesday  in Edinburgh. This showed presented pupils with different scenarios to risk assess and react. They also watched a video of the dangers of throwing stones at vehicles and safety around transport.
