Our first full week in Primary 3 has been another busy one. We are beginning to find our feet with class jobs being allocated where we have the opportunity to demonstrate being responsible citizens around the school.

We have completed our Class Charter, our “Recipe for a Rights Respecting Classroom”, which helps us to connect pupil actions to our rights in the classroom and focuses on mutual respect, kindness and inclusion.

RWI has been successfully launched across Primary 1 – 4  and all children have worked hard in their respective groups with staff delighted with what a fantastic start the children have made to their Literacy this term.

Other highlights this week include Building Thinking Classrooms where pupils worked collaboratively in random groups on problem solving strategies as well as having a super introduction to outdoor learning with Mrs Ferguson.

Primary 3 have had a busy week settling into their new classroom, creating a safe and welcoming environment and becoming familiar with new routines. It has been a  super week focusing on building relationships and community and setting expectations for the year ahead.  It has been fantastic to see all of the children back in school, ready to learn, wearing school uniform and big smiles! Lots of learning has taken place across all areas and it is great to be back together. We are all looking forward to lots of exciting learning opportunities in the coming session.

We’ve had a fantastic first week back in Nurture! 🌟 We have been busy settling into our routines, getting comfortable in our learning environment and getting to know each other. We explored our likes, dislikes and interests through a range of fun activities, using visuals, choices and different forms of communication to help everyone share their ideas. We also began learning about our rights, using visual supports to help us understand and explore what our rights mean. To celebrate our Nurture community, we created colourful painted handprints, showing that every individual is unique and an important part of our class. It has been a lovely week of learning, building relationships and getting settled, and we are excited for all the fun and learning still to come! 💛

What a wonderful first week back at school! 💛 We have loved welcoming our Primary 2 children back and getting to know one another  and Miss Fox again in our new classroom.

This week has been all about settling in, building relationships and making our classroom a happy, safe and welcoming place to learn. We have been talking about our school values, expectations and routines, learning how we can be kind, respectful and responsible members of our class community.

There has been lots of chatting, exploring, creating and, of course, lots of play! Through play and our activities, we have been discovering more about each other, sharing our interests and learning what makes our new class special.

It has been a busy but lovely start to our Primary 2 journey, and we are so excited for all the learning, fun and adventures still to come!

Well done, Primary 2 — what a fantastic first week!

Welcome back to all our pupils in Ness Class this year. We have had an amazing first week, where we nurtured existing friendships and made new connections. Lot’s of opportunity to laugh and play together, both in Ness and in our mainstream. As always, Ness were keen to get back to our learning routines and we are already revising our reading, writing and numeracy skills.

What a super year we have ahead!

We had a lovely last day in P5 with Miss Fox! We enjoyed drawing self-portraits and filling our sunglasses with our hopes and wishes for the summer. We also read the letters we wrote to our future selves when we first met Miss Fox back in P4 and shared them with our friends – there were lots of laughs as we looked back on our memories together. In the afternoon, we enjoyed some time outdoors before heading home. It was a wonderful way to spend our final day together in class this session.
