Another busy week in the world of Super Tay!

Along with lots of sensory exploration with sand and bubbles (…lots of bubbles!)…we’ve been learning about the different types of fruits and their colours this week. Some of us he have also looked at how Numicon can help us learn in terms of our number work.

Some of us have also worked on our building and symmetry skills in the wood corner of the Outdoor Classroom.

With the return of the sun, a highlight of our week has been taking the scooters out to the Kick Pitch! We had great fun zooming around with our friends!

Busy, busy!

We have been busy again this week and have loved our Art work…we designed Highland cows with wooly forelocks and googly eyes!

We have also worked on our shape recognition and number formation.

Our literacy skills are also coming along stormingly…a bit like the weather! We have headed out though…undeterred by the squalls, and enjoyed time on the Kick Pitch and Trim Trail.

This week we are ending on a high too with our continuing love of all things P.E. and Sensory!

We have been bathed in glorious sun this week and our smiles have been shining too as we have played and learned with, and from, each other.

We have built castles in the sand and have learned about mixing colours in our sensory play with beautiful coloured sand. Our focus on beautiful colours has also extended into our Literacy studies, where we have been learning about colours in the world around us. Colour has also been a focus in our Art activities where we designed our own Elmer the Elephant paper mosaics with vibrant colours.

We have also explored the sensory sensation of the water tray on the Trim Trail and enjoyed the challenge of arranging blocks in the Outdoor Classroom into patterns of our own making.

Busy, busy!

We welcome you to the world of SuperTay!…We have been super heroes this week…

We have kept progressing with our number and word knowledge and have also had so much fun engaging with Health Week!

Smoothie bike – Fab! and Fruity!

Trim Trail – We climbed and played together and we’re fitter!

Music Gym – We loved all the sensory experiences!

Silent disco – Fabulous fun!

We have enjoyed our lunches this week…We love fish!! Yum!

We have also experienced a range of colours and sounds in the Sensory Room, and have enjoyed the new sensory aroma box too!

Our numeracy work has also come on a pace, and we have also practiced building stacking towers.

Our sound of the week has been learning about the different sounds of the hard and soft ‘g’ . We loved the funny song about goats and giraffes!

We have also developed our relations with our peers in the other ERB classes during our shared playtime outside.

We’ve improved our fitness and balance too in P.E. and have enjoyed lots of sensory play with water and bubbles….lots of bubbles!

Well!….Despite having a couple less days in school this week, we have still managed to pack a lot in!

We have loved our time in the Sensory Room and with the drier weather have taken our Sensory learning experiences outside with our tuff tray. In class we experimented with mixing different colours of sand. We have also loved experiencing the squeeze sock!

In class we have continued to work on our pencil grips, number bonds, shape recognition.

Another busy, busy, week…and we’re already looking forward to Monday!

In a sun drenched week we have enjoyed sensory exploration with coloured sand…we loved the feel!!

We have also been to the park where we climbed, swung and slid! We have also enjoyed time on the Trim Trail too!

In class we have built towers, designed peg board patterns and explored shapes and number bonds. We are also moving on apace with our Literacy skills and are starting to look at middle sounds as well as initial sounds.

We have had a lovely busy, busy, week!

With the warming late Spring sun we are taking on a pace with our learning in Tay Class.

We have engaged with so many wonderful elements of engagement and learning, Climbing. Drawing. Building. Running. Dancing. Spinning. Molding.  Crafting,  Listening. Feeling. Touching. Engaging.

All in all, a fabulous week in TheLifeOfTay!

We have had a week of smiles and sun this week.

We are making great strides in our initial sound and CVC work.

We are also learning to match up halves and recognise patterns.

We have worked on our pencil control and have also used cotton buds to practice our fine-motor painting skills.

We have also been learning how to put pictures into order of size.

We have also loved time in P.E. and in the Sensory Room….and lunch!

In one week’s time we’ll have completed our second term at St Mary’s, and made so many wonderful memories!

Wednesday….A Hoolie outside!…And wonderful sensory fun inside!

Each, and every day, we have had fun together. We have learned, laughed and, well, washed the mud off our wellies, and our hands for lunch together!
