Today I have another Art challenge. On Tuesday, I asked you to come up with a character who lived in the picture I posted here: https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/wl/simpsonps/2020/06/02/miss-blyths-daily-challenge-6/. Today, I would like you to try and illustrate your character – it can be just their face, their whole body or even a scene that they are in! 😀

Happy Tuesday! I have a writing challenge for you today.
For today’s challenge, I would like you to look at the picture below. Decide the setting (place and time), come up with a character and write at least one thing that happens to them.
Here’s my idea:
Setting: Magic Valley, 1000 years ago
Character: a fairy named Sparkles
Event: She has to journey through the Magic Valley to find a special spell to save the Valley from evil wizards!
(Bonus points if you can figure out where this picture was taken! Hint: it’s somewhere in Scotland.)

Happy Friday! It’s the last day of Fitness Fortnight. We’d all like to say a massive well done for how engaged you’ve been with the activities and challenges over the last two weeks!
My Friday challenge is a scavenger hunt around your house! See if you can find something shaped like a cube, a cylinder, a sphere, a cuboid and (as an extra challenge) a pyramid!

Happy Thursday! I have an art challenge for you today. I was so excited to see all the amazing responses to last week’s art challenge, keep up the hard work!
Today’s art challenge is to draw a squiggle on your page and see if you can create a piece of art from it. Sometimes it helps to turn your page around to see it from a different angle. Here’s my squiggle:
And here is the drawing I created from it! I had to turn my face until my squiggle was on its side, and then I used it as the muzzle of a dog! I’d love to see what you come up with – P3C can share with Mrs Dunsmore on Twitter @MrsLDee, P3B and P3A can share their responses with me on Twitter @MissBlyth1 and P4/3 can share their responses on Teams!

P3 Daily Challenge
I’ll be posting a daily challenge here and on my twitter account @missblyth1. It is not compulsory – just for a little bit of fun and variety! If you complete any of the challenges, you can tweet them to me @missblyth1 (remember not to name your child if they are in the picture) or comment on the challenge post! Today we have some subtraction questions to challenge you to use the jump and split strategies. If you need a reminder of those strategies, look at Miss McGregor’s blog post here: https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/wl/simpsonps/2020/04/03/a-message-for-p3a-2/
I’ll tweet/comment the answers later!
