-Use a ruler to measure and record the depth of the snow at different parts in your garden. Record this. Can you find any objects in your house the same height as the snow?
-Visit the world book day official website at http://www.worldbookday.com
Go to the video sections- Can you watch one of the Imagination Channel videos- this will give you lots of information about writing your own story from a real author.
Or go to the Story time online section and hear an author read their own stories.
-Can you celebrate World Book Day by hosting a reading lunch with your family or mini party to celebrate? You could help prepare some snacks in your kitchen with an adult and even make your own party decorations! What could you wear?
-Most importantly Keep Reading!!- How many books can you read today? Can you read more than one from your favourite author?

Have fun!

-Can you choose an animal who would live in a rainforest climate and find some interesting information and facts about it. You could write a paragraph to describe or make a poster to share your information.

-If you have any art materials at home you could create a picture, painting or model showing the layers of the rainforest.

-Use a paper plate to make a plate showing halves and a plate showing quarters. Use this to help you count different objects then share them into halves and quarters on your plate. Record or illustrate your answers in your homework jotter or take some pictures!

-Snowy spelling- Can you practice your new spelling words in the snow. You could make them with your fingers or even make them in footprints in your garden.

-Read some of your favourite book curled up with a nice hot drink. Can you illustrate your favourite character from the book and write a few sentences using adjectives to describe them?
