P1M have had a busy couple of weeks. Last week was book week and the children loved creating our Elmer display. We spent time colouring our very own Elmer then everyone coloured in a patch for the background. We also enjoyed reading a new story called Gorilla Loves Vanilla. The story included lots of wacky ice cream flavours such as worms. We loved creating our own flavours such as jam and sausages. We also learned about rhyming words. As Saturday was our Christmas fair we created our very own ornaments to hang on our Christmas trees. Both Primary 1 and Primary 2 have been busy rehearsing our nativity and look forward to performing this for you next week on Tuesday 12th December at 2.30pm and Wednesday 13th December at 10am. Here are a few pictures from our busy weeks:

Livingston Netball League
Our netball team have been training very hard over the last few weeks in preparation for the Livingston Netball League competition.
Their are 8 teams in total meaning we play 7 games.
Below is the league table.
Everybody in our team played fantastic. The ethos we have at LVPS is to enable our children to develop and learn. The winning comes because of that focus. We played 7, won 7, scored 49 and conceded 3. The most pleasing aspect was the sportsmanship, team work and resilience shown. This was their first ever game of Netball. well done team. We are all very proud of you.
School Football Team
Our school team had their first match last week against our friends from Peel P.S. It was a fantastic game and was end to end. We managed to run out 4 -1 winners with goals from Briony, Sonny x 2 and Toby.
Well done to both sets of players.
Player of the match: Sonny
P7 Outdoor PE
P7 had the first of a block of rugby lessons today. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a happier bunch of pupils.
Snow Packs
As part of our contingency plans for times when the school is closed due to severe weather, teachers have created a ‘snow pack’ which provides a range of activities for children to complete at home. These range from just having fun in the snow to researching different topics and creating a report. We hope you will find these useful.
There is a ‘snow pack’ for each stage and they can be found on the links at the right hand side of the blog under ‘Snow Packs’
