Well done, Alexander, for building these Lego models. You created a volcano with lava pouring down it, a tsunami with buildings being washed away and an earthquake that actually moved. You shared these with the class, extending our learning.

P4S Maths Week Scotland
This week we have been introduced to lots of different strategies we can use to learn our times tables. These include Hit the Button, multiplication dominoes, dice, basketball and the game of pairs. Hopefully they will help us with our learning and speed of recall of our tables.
Primary 3D – Shadow Puppets
Primary 3D have been exploring a range of media to create props for a shadow puppet performance. The created storyboards to recreate the story of the Iron Man by Ted Hughes and used different objects and materials to bring the story to life. We all had a great time working together to create these pieces, well done everyone.
Creating New Games in P5J
Today Primary 5J had a fantastic day in the sun. Last week, we took our learning about instruction writing and created our own new games as part of our Health learning. Today, every child taught a short lesson about their game. We then evaluated their instructions and provided them with Stars and Wishes. We will be putting all of our fantastic ideas into a book to provide pupils and staff with different games that they can play!
P4S Smoothie Bike
We had a great time making our Smoothies. We talked about how healthy they were to eat. We also used the bike to discuss what we had learned about forces and how they were moving the wheels and then the blade of the blender. Very yummy smoothies!!!
P4S Numeracy
We have been learning to use different strategies to develop our recall and accuracy of our times tables. We take part in lots of different activities to help us speed up. We all work on different times tables and sometimes link them to division facts too.
P3R Working at home
Some excellent extended learning at home this week in P3R!
Inspired by our class novel ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes, we have two super Lego models.
One of our homework tasks was to draw a musical instrument and label how it works. Fantastic picture!

P1Y Superstars !
We are very proud of our two talented pupils in P1Y. Well done for receiving a trophy for doing amazing balances in your gymnastics class, and for winning a medal for dirt bike riding at Duns.
Primary 3D Assembly – Ancient Egypt
Well done to Primary 3D for their fantastic performance this morning at the assembly. They have learned so much about Ancient Egypt and were excited to share their learning with the rest of the school. Their hard work definitely paid off this morning! Enjoy your well deserved long weekend!
Super Writers in P3R
We have had a successful start to the new term in P3R with some super writing!
This week we were listening to Chapter 1 in the story of ‘The Iron Man’ by Ted Hughes.
We have been writing about what we think would happen next in the story.
We used our target checklist to peer assess our partner’s work and gave them positive feedback.
We also have been thinking about our next steps in writing for this term. Some of us are working on spelling, punctuation or vocabulary.
We can’t wait to find out what happens next in the story.
