P4S Anti-bullying week
Today we came into school wearing odd socks. We raised money for charity.
We thought about what bullying is and how it can make other people feel.
P3-4 Lego Club
We had great fun completing our challenges today. We were trying to build houses and street scenes. One had a bank which had eight levels of security while another house came with a pond in it’s garden!
P4S Extreme Earth
Well done, Alexander, for building these Lego models. You created a volcano with lava pouring down it, a tsunami with buildings being washed away and an earthquake that actually moved. You shared these with the class, extending our learning.
P4S Achievement
Very well done receiving a 1st medal during your gymnastics competition. We are all very proud of you.
P4S Homework
Well done for drawing and labelling volcanoes as part of you homework. We every had a Lego model of a volcano including a lava flow and ash cloud. Amazing work!!!
P4/3 and P4S Show Racism the Red Card
Today we wore red to think about Racism. We watched a film telling us about it. Here are some of our thoughts;
Don’t judge people on what they believe or what they look like. – Millie
Don’t judge someone because of their skin colour. – Samuel
I learned not to be racist to other people because it is bad if they are getting bullied due to their skin colour. – Scott
Don’t judge people’s looks. – Lily
Don’t judge people on the colour of their skin because they might be really nice. – Charlie
P4S Maths Week Scotland
This week we have been introduced to lots of different strategies we can use to learn our times tables. These include Hit the Button, multiplication dominoes, dice, basketball and the game of pairs. Hopefully they will help us with our learning and speed of recall of our tables.
P4S Achievement
Well done for gaining all these trophies at BB Anchor Boys. What a great achievement.
P4S Literacy
This week our writing lesson was great fun. We were given a person card with a job they would do and had to describe their character. Then we were given a setting card and we had to think of adjectives to describe it. Finally we were given a natural disaster card and had to write notes about what would happen. So we might have had a nurse on Mars when a hurricane happens or a farmer in a supermarket during an earthquake. It was hilarious!!! Next week we will be using these notes to write an imaginary story. We can’t wait to share the results.
