NURSERY – Fun and Learning at Home

Good Afternoon Everyone

Here are some suggested activities to give a try.

Animal cam – Edinburgh Zoo have set up live cameras on some of their animals which you can watch and discuss. Click on the link > https://www.edinburghzoo.org.uk/webcams/panda-cam/

Go out for a walk and look for signs of spring. What’s the weather like?, what can you hear? And what animals and flowers can you see?. L.I I am learning about different seasons and I can identify the changes in the world around me.

Draw a picture e.g. of an animal/flower you have seen today. L.I I am developing my fine motor control to help get my fingers ready to write.

Match socks – Get your child to help sort the washing or take socks from the drawer, mix them all up and then get your child to match them back up again. L.I I am learning to identify pattern and can match items which are the same.

Hope you enjoy

NURSERY – Fun and Learning at Home

Hello Parents, Carers and Children
At East Calder Nursery we want you to enjoy leaning and gaining new experiences at home while having fun with your family during this difficult time. We will be updating the blog every Tuesday and Thursday with some suggested activities you could give a try. We will try to have a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, individual activities children can do while parents may be working and group activities to do as a family.

Stay safe and take care.

P6Y Home Learning Grid

Good evening everyone,
Due to the issues we encountered today using TEAMS we are going to change the way we share your learning tasks. From Tuesday 24th March we will be using a grid (similar to your normal homework Grid) for you learning for the whole week. Please complete as many activities as you can throughout the week.  Do not worry if you cannot access files on Glow, this is due to high levels of users, therefore your learning grid will be available on the blog and emailed out to you also. You all had a jotter issued last week, feel free to do your work in your jotter instead. You can still reach your teacher on your class TEAM page.
