Keep up the great work P3R!

Thank you to everyone for sending me photos of all your fantastic work!

I was so impressed with those of you who joined in with the Great East Calder Primary school Run on Friday.

It was a hot day for running! Super effort!

What a great start to Health Week and I hope you will try out some of Mr Millar’s activities this week!

I am missing you all and love to see and hear about what you are doing at home.

Stay safe,

Mrs Robertson P3R

The Great Science Share – Week 5

What did you investigate last week? Did you try to re-grow any vegetables? Did you track the journey of your banana from tree to fruit bowl? Did you make something out of your household waste?

This week our theme is UN World Environment Day

Have you been inspired by Greta Thunberg?

How clean is the air near to where you live? Has there been a change in air quality around the world since we have been staying at home over the last few months?

How can you make a positive impact on the environment?

How can you clean dirty water?

How do cow burps affect climate change? (This is an interesting one!)

Remember and tag me in your Teams post or email your investigations into school!

Have fun investigating!

Mrs Beattie

Transition Task – Week 3

Week 3 Transition Task – ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle

This week we would like you to watch and listen to, or if you have the book at home read, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle. This book provides lots of learning opportunities to discuss healthy eating, life cycles, counting, colours and days of the week.  There is lots to talk about  with your child as you enjoy the story together. Please find the link to the story below:

We hope you and your child enjoy this weeks story 🙂 Maybe you can spot some butterflies in your garden or when you are out walking or maybe you would like to draw or make one.

The days of the week are mentioned in the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The link below leads to a Days of the Week song we sing in Primary 1. Your child might like to watch it, learn it or sing along 🙂
