Maths Week P7S
As part of Scottish Maths Week 2018 we have participated in a variety of activities ranging from solving mysteries, Maths Top Trumps, Sumdog National Competition and a Roald Dahl maths challenge,which linked to Roald Dahl Day on Thursday. We used a range of skills and strategies in each task and got the opportunity to work in different groups and pairings. We also set social targets when working in our different groups. A few examples of these chosen targets included listening to everyone and valuing their contribution and maintaining eye contact when addressing a member of the group.
P6A being creative during Maths week.
During Maths Week P6A have come up with some imaginative ways to share their number talks; helping everyone to learn new strategies and have some fun at the same time. Here are a some pupils rapping and singing their number talks!
P4S Achievement
Very well done for receiving these medals for your dancing. We are all very proud of you.
P7 Homework Challenge
These P7s are proud of their Chinese lanterns which they researched and created as on of the activities in their new homework grids. The pupils in P7 are enjoying the varied tasks, choice and challenge in the new homework system. Well done guys. @MrEagleson
Lendrick Muir – Day 2
Our P5 pupils and staff are having an enjoyable time at Lendrick Muir. There were lots of smiling faces when I went along to visit them this afternoon and a few tired looking faces too! Everyone has been enjoying their activities and they’ve managed to avoid most of the heavy rain showers! There was lots of excited chat about their favourite activities so far and highlights of their first school residential.
Below are a few photos from Lendrick Muir. We’re looking forward to seeing lots more photos and hearing all about their experiences once their back home. I think everyone will be in need of their holiday weekend to recover from their fun-filled trip away.
Maths Week P1B
P1 have been enjoying maths week!
Today was also Roald Dahl day and we had fun sorting ‘The Enormous Crocodile’ from shortest to longest.
We made crocodiles by colouring, cutting and sticking.
Posting the correct number of straws into the envelopes. 
We liked playing the subitising game together.

We are learning the number 3 and 4 and the letters t and i over this week and next.

P4S Maths Week Day 4
Today we were looking at how we visualise numbers. We had a sheet with lots of different pictures of numbers and we had to write what numbers they represented. The first ones were easy but they got harder and harder. We had to use our times tables to work some of the numbers out.
What are our Priorities for Development this year?
Each session schools produce an Improvement Plan to inform and drive improvements based on our self-evaluation. This is published on the website but to make it simpler for home to know what we are working on, we have produced this simple one page summary of our developments in session 2018-2019.
