Christmas in P3R
We have been having a busy time in P3R.
As part of our homework tasks we could make a model sleigh for a small toy,
We had some super models and it was interesting to hear how they were made. Very creative ideas P3R!
We learned how to sew felt Christmas tree decorations for the school Christmas Fayre last week.
..and we had a fun time at our Christmas party on Tuesday.
We have also been practising songs for our Christmas SingAlong on Friday. We hope you can join us at 9.50am
Merry Christmas everyone from P3R!

NURSERY – MERRY CHRISTMAS & THANK YOU
Our School/Nursery Fayre was a huge success and a great turnout. It was lovely to see so many of our children and families attending especially on such a wet and windy day.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our hard working PSA committee, who have worked very hard to make the fayre a success.
A big thank you also to our generous families who donated towards the fayre, it was greatly appreciated and also for buying the children’s handmade goodies. The money raised directly benefits all the children in the nursery and school.
We will reschedule a date in January for our parent group meeting to go ahead. Unfortunately due to the time of year, parents were unable to attend our December meeting. Hopefully in January we can meet to discuss future fundraising events for the Nursery.
Our Nursery Team would like to thank all our families for their kind cards, gifts and ongoing support and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year.
P5B Titanic Cabins
As part of their homework, P5B were asked to make a 1st, 2nd or 3rd class cabin to show their understanding of class difference and what each cabin may have looked like on the Titanic. Lots of pupils brought their cabins in and and it is clear that we have some very creative pupils. They all look so fantastic. A lot of work has been put into these and they make for a lovely display in the classroom!
We also had a very special performance in class from the pupils that play a brass instrument. They played a “marching” song they have been practicing and it was the first time rehearsing in front of an audience! They all did so well and we can’t wait to hear your Christmas song that you are going to perform on Friday 20th.

Christmas Crafts P7/6L
Primary 7/6L have been busy preparing Christmas Crafts as an enterprise project for the Christmas Fayre. In numeracy we have been working on calculating cost (our expenditure) and also the terms profit and loss to decide what price to sell our products. We will be selling both of our products at the Fayre on Saturday. We have made sock snowmen as well as a winter recipe book full of yummy sweet treats and winter warmers from our wonderful staff. We have also been making and selling Christmas cards around to school to fundraise for our class sponsored animal.
Nursery – creating, learning, exploring and having fun!
Our nursery children have been enjoying our larger block play space which is now in the main foyer. There is plenty of space to allow children to build and create using the large blocks and loose parts stored in this area.
Although our nursery is a busy place, there are plenty of spaces to have some quieter play or simply enjoy a book or storytelling session.
